Tzelem – DC

Moving Traditions and Keshet are excited to partner and bring you Tzelem, a monthly group for Trans, Nonbinary, Gender Expansive, and LGBTQ+ Jewish teens, in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.

Tzelem offers a safe, supportive space to make new friends and explore issues like:

  • Life transitions
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Body Positivity
  • Self-Compassion
  • Mental Health
  • Jewish Identity
  • And much more!

Monthly sessions will take place either online or in person.

Group Leader: Alicia DePaolo

Alicia DePaolo is a Jewish educator and musician. She holds a master’s degree in Jewish Education and Jewish Studies from Hebrew College and serves as Youth Educator at Temple Sinai D.C. Previously, she taught middle school in Boston and advised a student Gender and Sexuality group.  Alicia lives in Alexandria with her partner, Katie. She is excited to leading the DC Tzelem group to help teens find joyful, safe, and affirming Queer Jewish community.
