ELIGIBILITY: Anyone enrolled in a Rosh Hodesh: It’s a Girl Thing! or Shevet Achim: The Brotherhood group is eligible for the Moving Traditions Contest. Employees or board members of Moving Traditions and its related organizations, their immediate families or persons living in the same household are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. To enter to win, complete the website form. Entries may be made between now and 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on September 30, 2013. Each participant may only enter once.
PRIZE: The Moving Traditions Contest package includes round-trip travel for two to Tel Aviv; four nights at a hotel in Jerusalem; participation in Rosh Hodesh services at the Western Wall in Jerusalem on January 2, 2014, including lunch with Israeli leaders of Women of the Wall and Deborah Meyer, Director of Moving Traditions; and transportation to and from such Rosh Hodesh services at the Wall.
TOTAL ESTIMATED VALUE OF PRIZE: $4,500 per family.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF FINALISTS: By October 4, 2013, twenty finalists will be selected based on the content of the twitter-like statements submitted during registration. Moving Traditions will invite these finalists to submit a video relating to the subject of the contest. Such videos must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on October 20, 2013. Please note that corporate logos should not appear any place within the video.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: Two winners and four back-up names will be selected no later than October 25, 2013. Each winner will be notified by telephone or email and will have one week to accept or decline the prize. If the winner cannot be reached by October 30, 2013, or is unable to collect the prize, that prize will go to the first back-up and subsequent back-ups thereof until the prize is awarded. Each winner must agree to attend Rosh Hodesh services at the Wall and agree to speak about the experience to members of the press who are designated by Moving Traditions. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of entries, although the total entries will be no more than 4,000. Moving Traditions will keep the winners’ names on file and they will be available upon request.
RIGHTS TO STATEMENTS: Upon registration, parents must submit an entry into our tweeting contest; the entry will be a statement of fewer than 140 characters. Upon submission of such entries, participants and their parents agree that Moving Traditions has the full legal right to post them on its website and otherwise use them in any manner as it deems appropriate. Moving Traditions may credit each statement by connecting it to the participant’s first name and home town.
RIGHTS TO VIDEO: Upon submission of any video material to Moving Traditions as part of the Moving Traditions Contest, participants and their parents represent and warrant that the person appearing in the video is the participant, and they indemnify and hold harmless Moving Traditions in the event that the person in the video is indeed not the participant. Participants and their parents further agree that Moving Traditions has the full legal right to post such video material on its website and otherwise use such video material in any manner that it determines to be appropriate without compensation to the parents and/or participants. Participants and parents further agree that Moving Traditions has the full legal right to publicize the participants’ first names and home towns in connection with their use of and posting of these videos.
GENERAL: Moving Traditions assumes no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind
related to a participant’s participation in the Moving Traditions Contest or the use of the prize. By participating in the Moving Traditions Contest, participants agree that Moving Traditions, its agents and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from their use of the prize or their participation in the contest. As a condition to winning the prize and attending the Rosh Hodesh services at the Wall, each winner and their parent will be required to enter into a (i) limitation of liability agreement and (ii) waiver and release each in a form provided by Moving Traditions. The prize is nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for the prize. Moving Traditions may use winners’ first names and home towns for publicity purposes without compensation. Taxes and expenses as a result of winning this prize are the responsibility of each winner. Each winner will receive a 1099 with the above stated value, and this amount shall be reported to the IRS.
RESTRICTIONS: Restrictions may apply. By participating in the Moving Traditions Contest, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by all Contest decisions.
