Moving Traditions is now offering a national online Rosh Hodesh for Teen Feminists group for Jewish teens in 10th through 12th grade. The group will be led by Ellie Goldstein (meet Ellie, in the video above and read her bio below), and will bring together teens from all over the country once a month for two hours via Zoom.
Each month the group will focus on topics like courage, friendship, stress, body image, spirituality — all from a feminist viewpoint. Sessions will be experiential in nature, featuring many different modalities, including the exploration of Jewish perspectives.
Groups will begin in October and meet monthly through May. Participation fees are $250 per teen (for ten sessions). Scholarships are available — no one will be turned away.
Ellie (she/her) has a Master of Public Health from the Population & Family Health Department at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a certificate in Sexuality, Sexual and Reproductive Health. She currently works as a sex education consultant.
I’m really excited to be facilitating a virtual Rosh Hodesh group this fall. I’m originally from Milwaukee, WI, but I spent the last year living in Minneapolis, MN as I finished graduate school. In my free time, I try new challah recipes, rewatch Disney movies, and search for the best chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you in our sessions this year!
