Moving Traditions, Congregation Beth Elohim, and Keshet are excited to partner and bring you Tzelem Brooklyn, a monthly group for LGBTQ+ Jewish teens and allies.
The Tzelem program offers a safe, supportive space to make new friends and explore issues like:
- Life transitions
- Healthy Relationships
- Body Positivity
- Mental Health
- Jewish Identity
- And much more!
Monthly sessions will take place at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11215, the following Sundays from 1:00-3:00 p.m.: November 14, December 19, January 9, February 13, March 20, April 3, and May 8

Co-Group Leader: K.M. DiColandrea (DiCo)
Since graduating from Yale with a B.A. in Philosophy in 2007, DiCo (he/him) has been teaching in NYC public, charter and religious schools. He is currently a first-year rabbinical student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. In his spare time, he tutors b’nei mitzvah students on their d’vrei Torah, coaches debate at his alma mater Stuyvesant High School and runs a nonprofit organization for teens looking for free Speech & Debate coaching. He was a 2021 recipient of the Jewish Education Project’s Robert M. Sherman Young Pioneers Award. He’s proud to be a queer, trans, Irish-Italian native New Yorker.
Co-Group Leader: Jessica Moore
Jessica is a Brooklyn Based Educator and Filmmaker, who received the National Board of Review Student Grant in 2020 for her Master’s Thesis. She has worked in education for over 5 years and currently loves teaching Jewish Values as a part of CBE Yachad. She is currently a Fellow at the B’Yachad Jews of Color Educator Fellowship, where she focuses on Jewish Diversity and representation within the Jewish Education world.
