Fostering Positive Jewish Identity in Children

March 5 at 6:30 pm 9:00 pm

A Workshop for Parents, Caregivers, and Educators Who Are Supporting Youth in Navigating Rising Antisemitism

Jewish schoolchildren in Philadelphia, in both public and private schools, need the support of parents and Jewish educators. Antisemitism is rising in multiple corners at once, and young people experience it online and in-person. It is becoming increasingly more difficult to simply challenge this environment with a message of “pride.” We must help our young people understand Jewish history, the unique dynamics of Jewish hate and Antizionism, and the teachings within Judaism that seek to overcome division.

How do we support young people who feel torn between conflicting voices in their schools, communities, and Jewish spaces?

How do we help young people who experience antisemitism AND xenophobia, racism, misogyny, transphobia, or homophobia?

Join Rabbi Daniel Brenner from Moving Traditions and Jewish Learning Venture for dinner and a dialogue-based workshop that will explore new ways to support our youth.
