Type of Experience
Kol Koleinu
- School year program, August 2026 – April 2027
- National program with regional cohorts accepting 50-60 participants
- Hybrid experience with monthly virtual meetings, regional and national in-person retreats
- Matched with an adult mentor with relevant experience
- Culminates with the completion of a locally based Passion Project
- For 9th graders, culminates with the presentation and facilitated conversation about a social change concept that you’d like to your cohort to know more about
Kumi
- Two justice retreats, one in Fall 2026, and one in Spring 2027
- National program accepting 20-30 participants
- Hybrid experience with monthly virtual meetings and two 4-day national in-person retreats
- Includes two parallel tracks: Jews of Color and anti-racist allies
jGirls+
- School year program, August 2026 – May 2027
- National program accepting 8 new editors and up to 3 new photographers to join returning staff, for a total community of 20-24 teens
- All teen staff: Hybrid experience with two in-person weekend retreats.
Editors: Two virtual department meetings per week and 2 virtual all-staff meetings per month.
Photographers: One virtual department meeting per month, 1 virtual workshop per month - Work in a pre-professional environment with peers with an array of backgrounds, experiences, and opinions
- Edit an online feminist literary magazine that publishes new work every week.

- Mentor meetings between October – April
- August — Family orientation (2 hr)
- Sept. – March — Monthly virtual cohort meetings (2 hrs)
- Sept. – March — Monthly community calls (1 hr)
- Preparation for calls and Passion Project
Kumi
- Aug. — Family Orientation (2 hrs)
- Monthly — Virtual Community of Practice Sessions (90 mins each)
- Oct. — Kumi: Foundation in person retreat (4-days, in-person)
- Spring — Kumi: Exploration Retreat (4-days, in-person)
jGirls+
- August — New staff orientation (90 minutes)
- September – May —
Editors: Monthly editorial board meetings (90 minutes)
Monthly workshops with expert educators on a variety of topics related to editing, leadership, feminism, and identity (90 minutes)
Twice-weekly department meetings to discuss and edit pieces (2 hours/week)
Photographers: Monthly department meetings and workshops with professional photographers (3 hours/month) - Editors and Photographers: Ongoing independent work necessary for the production of the magazine (1 hr/week)

- October 9-12, 2026 — 4 Day Foundation Retreat in Chicago area
