Meyer-Gottesman Kol Koleinu Naming Campaign

As Moving Traditions Founder and CEO Deborah Meyer prepares to pass the torch after 16 years of inspiring leadership, the board and staff are marking this “shehechianu” moment with a campaign to invest in and expand the impact of the newly named Meyer-Gottesman Kol Koleinu Teen Feminist Fellowship.

It’s personally meaningful to Deborah to honor the legacy of her partnership in creating Moving Traditions with Sally Gottesman, the founding board chair.

The campaign celebrates the role of collaboration in social changemaking. It also celebrates Deborah and Sally’s joy in ensuring that Moving Traditions will continue to be at the forefront of emboldening a new generation of Jewish feminists.

Moving Traditions will build the Meyer-Gottesman Kol Koleinu Fellowship in these primary ways:

  • Direct leadership: For the first time, the Fellowship will have a full-time Director to guide and strengthen the program.
  • Extend impact: Moving Traditions will launch a strategy to support the Fellows in engaging thousands of other Jewish teens in their social changemaking projects.
  • Improve the mentor experience: The organization will enhance Kol Koleinu adult mentors’ volunteer experience, from recruitment, to training, and ongoing guidance, thereby strengthening support the mentors provide to the Fellows.
  • Create an alumni program: Moving Traditions and the Fellowship will continue their impact through college and into the young adult years by creating a structured and engaging alumni experience.
