Join Moving Traditions faculty and Rabbi Charles Savenor and Audi Hecht from Civic Spirit for a day of learning, networking, and training to help you prepare for the 2025-26 school year.

How can we bridge civic learning and Jewish wisdom in a way that addresses contemporary challenges and speaks to today’s teens? This session will provide educators with frameworks and tools to help students explore core civic challenges of our time.

We will explore how Jewish values can help teens cultivate a civic identity that honors both their own perspectives and those of others. All attendees will receive a full curricular session to use with teen learners.

Following the workshop, we will move into a hands-on training for all educators and clergy implementing the Kulam program this year.

From Overwhelmed to Empowered: Strengthening Jewish Educators and Families

Join Moving Traditions faculty and Dr. Matthew Biel for a dynamic day of learning, reflection, and practical training to help you prepare for the 2025-26 school year.

Dr. Matthew Biel, a nationally recognized child and adolescent psychiatrist, will lead a practical and powerful conversation about how stress, anxiety, and burnout are impacting our students—and us.

The day will also include hands-on training in both Kulam for Classrooms and Kulam for Teaching Assistants—two flexible, plug-and-play curricula that integrate Jewish wisdom with social-emotional learning to support teen well-being and healthy classroom culture.
