Inclusion and Belonging

Objectives: Participants will...  Identify strategies for fostering an inclusive environment by recognizing diverse needs and opportunities for support. Understand how language shapes inclusion and belonging, and then practice using language that encourages a sense of community. Learn how small, intentional changes in practices can create a more supportive and accessible space for all campers.

Antisemitism & Jewish Identity

Objectives: Participants will . . . Reflect on their own experiences of antisemitism. Identify and understand common antisemitic tropes, examining how antisemitism sometimes functions differently compared to other forms of prejudice. Identify camp’s role in providing education around, or relief from, antisemitism.

Objectives: Participants will . . . Describe what antisemitism is and how it manifests; Articulate how antisemitism and racism function and overlap; Be familiar with a way to approach situations where there is confusion or lack of agreement on whether something is antisemitic

History of Zionism

Objectives: Participants will... Explore the history and origins of Zionism as a Jewish national movement, recognizing the diverse visions within it. Gain foundational knowledge about political Zionism's history. Articulate their own vision for Israel’s future and consider how they can contribute to its actualization.

All You Need is Love

Objectives: Participants will . . . Further develop community with other Jewish parents of teens. Understand the 3-step Tikkun (repair or mend) Middot (character traits) process, the Jewish practice that involves developing positive character traits. Use strategies to better support themselves and their teen(s) through teen development.

Cultivating Peace of Mind

Objectives: Participants will . . . Understand more about their teens’ emotional stability.   Consider their own needs for personal support.  Consider how their own worries affect their parenting. Learn to implement and model self-regulation skills to achieve greater calm and less worry for themselves and their teens.
