Teen Calls on Peers to Join the Women of the Wall Campaign

Shevet Achim participant Bennett Decker from Philadelphia speaks out about why he supports Women of the Wall — and why he hopes you will join him.

Hi! I’m Bennett Decker. I’ve been in Shevet Achim for two years now. This summer, my family and I took a trip to Israel and  we decided to go and daven with Women of the Wall on Rosh Hodesh Av.

I have two  sisters and I feel like they should have every opportunity to wear tallit, and to wear tefillin, and to read Torah.

So I urge every teen to enter in this incredible contest from Moving Traditions and to get a chance to go to Israel — and not just watch history but  to actually participate in it.
