Part of the magic of our Rosh Hodesh, Shevet, and Tzelem groups is in the group leaders. Group leaders serve as important mentors and role models for their groups, and create space for teens to have fun, be themselves, and explore and discuss issues they care about.
Group leaders are hired directly by our partner institutions (or by Moving Traditions in the case of community groups) and are chosen because of their passion for “being the adult I needed when I was a teen.”
“My group is an opportunity to pass on wisdom I wish I had at their age, answer the questions teens feel uncomfortable asking elsewhere, and a connection to the future of my community, that I get to watch grow, month after month.”
