As 2024 draws to a close and we have our menorahs at the ready, I am thinking about the hope that comes with Hanukkah. After what has been a year of ups and downs, I am hopeful for what lies ahead because of our kids. When I have the privilege of being in a Moving Traditions programs with teens, I always pause to marvel at the subtle ways, there in the classroom or living room, teens start to build their sense of confidence (shleimut), deepen relationships with their peers (chesed), and embrace the idea that they truly can make the world a better place (tzedek). In a hard year, it is extraordinarily gratifying to feel like there is something we can do to help. To give you that same sense of empowerment, I offer you this list of resources – and a request, to please donate to help Moving Traditions continue to help our Jewish teens thrive.
